I was inspired by Junji Ito's Uzumaki. I thought that the chapter where the couple twists together into one twisty abomination was so romantic that I wanted to draw a version of it.

A painting inspired by Junji Ito's Hanging Balloons. The idea of a huge balloon with your head chasing you down to hang you is terrifying to me. I thought it'd be fun to depict a horrifying scenario with dreamy colors.

For my 28th birthday, I wanted to indulge myself and draw an art nouveau piece crossed with a pretty boy in shibari. I'm a sucker for delicate fabrics.

A memorial piece for the artist Qinni. She was my favorite artist while I was in college, so I was quite devasted when she passed. A lot of my color palettes were inspired by her art.

I was in a mood when I was working on this. At the time I spent a decent amount of my life floating between feeling ok and falling apart. Sometimes you just need to paint melodramatic paintings you know?
